３分钟的宁静－需要你的支持

槟城这颗东方之珠，近来很积极地开山劈道，无论是空中行驶的轻快铁还是海底里穿梭的隧道，统统都已在政府的计划当中。

当中的轻快铁计划包括了通往三所学校的路口。将轻快铁建在学校的门前，当中的利害轻重，相信不必多说都已心中了然。

每三分钟就会有一趟轻快铁从学校门前呼啸而过。噪音的影响绝对不在话下，首当其冲的受害者非学生莫属。为了改善交通而典当了下一代的健康和安全，这算是上策吗？

我们支持槟城建造轻快铁，但恳求当局改道避开学校。我不知道面书的赞能为此次的诉求发挥什么样的作用，但总比袖手旁观来得强。

无论你是否居住槟城，无论此计划对你是否有间接或直接的影响，希望看着此帖的你可以高抬贵手，为我们的下一代恳求当局改道避开学校。

"Support re-route Penang LRT away from schools"

虽然经过了几次澄清，我们还是发现一些公众对我们这次请愿目的感到混淆。

Despite few rounds of clarification, we still see confusion in public on the objective of this petition.

我们想再次澄清，我们支持轻快铁计划，只是反对轻快铁和校园的距离只有9公尺，威胁到可爱的孩子与老师的听觉、安全与健康。这次的请愿是呼吁槟州政府改道 (注:是改道而不是取消轻快铁计划)，确保孩子们拥有一个宁静的校园。

We would like to reiterate that we are not against development. In fact, we support the LRT project but STRONGLY object to build the railway too close to the school (only 9 meters) which affects the lovely kids and teachers' hearing, safety and health.  Hence, the objective of this petition is to appeal to the Penang state government to re-route (Note: It's re-route, not cancel the LRT project) the alignment and ensure a tranquil learning environment to the future generation.
